Providing Education to Adapt to a Changing World
and Cultivating Globally-Minded Individuals
At Harbourfront, we broaden children's perspectives on the world and nurture leaders who can thrive in the future global society. We also strive to expand as many options as possible for children's future choices, supporting them in leading richer lives. We provide ongoing opportunities for children to explore their own perspectives and approaches to various local and global challenges, laying the foundation for them to become global leaders capable of making an impact in the world.

Global Education Curriculum
Harbourfront's curriculum is centered on experiential learning through "Active Learning," Harbourfront's original program "Global Adventure," immersion education in "Bilingual Education," and "Japanese Culture & Intercultural Education." These elements foster global leaders who develop six global skills, including critical thinking, inquiry, and expression.
Kindergarten Education
All Japanese teachers hold childcare qualifications. We promote understanding of Japanese culture through etiquette, nursery rhymes, and seasonal events taught in Japanese kindergarten education. We also emphasize cooperation and empathy. These educational efforts are designed to accommodate all students aiming for international schools, Japanese public, or private elementary schools.
-
Active Learning
What we value is - the process of learning more than the results. We depart from the traditional style of passive learning where students simply memorize what they are taught by teachers. In Active Learning, students think for themselves, discuss, and express opinions on monthly themes.
Nutrition Education
We convey the importance of food and manners to children through daily life and meals. Activities related to food, such as crop cultivation at school and monthly cooking lessons, are conducted according to the students' ages. Additionally, we entrust the main dishes and snacks to "Gensan'an." You can choose from brown rice or white rice as the main staple, and the main dish includes seasonal vegetables and three side dishes.
